challenge and there is a lot of detail to consider with this project,”
explained Butch Woelfel, President of Artcraft GMT. “We expect the
transformation will be one the public will appreciate and enjoy for years to
come.”
Artcraft is also refurbishing the marble grand staircase,
one of the facility’s focal points, that leads to the balcony. “Our team’s work
on the Herberger renovation will impact the positive theatre experience for
everyone,” said James Woelfel, Artcraft’s Vice President. “We’re doing our part

Artcraft GMT Wins National Award for Installation Excellence
Mesa, AZ Company also recognized for excellence in craftsmanship
at premier Coverings 2010 Installation Showcase
May 3, 2010 (Orlando, FL, USA) - Artcraft Granite, Marble and Tile Company is the recipient of a prestigious Tileletter Award for Installation Excellence in a commercial setting. It is the second time Artcraft has been nationally recognized for commercial projects by the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA). Artcraft is the only contractor in the nation to win installation awards for both commercial and residential projects.
The project for which Artcraft is being recognized this
year, is the the Arizona School for the Arts in downtown
Phoenix. There, Artcraft installed four bathrooms that the
judges noted were as close to perfection as possible.
Criteria for judging these awards are strongly weighted
towards installation challenges and obstacles encountered
by the contractor and innovative solutions to these
challenges and obstacles. Artistry, prestigious location
and design are secondary to installation criteria in
judging these awards.
"We have a strong team of dedicated professionals who
are committed to excellence in our trade, "said
James Woelfel, Vice President of Artcraft GMT.
"We have a respect for the expertise that each member
of the team contributes to the overall success of the work
we do for our clients. We are thrilled to receive this honor."
The Tileletter Awards were presented at Coverings 2010
in Orlando, Florida on April 30, 2010.
Mesa,
AZ Company also recognized for excellence in craftsmanship
at premier Coverings 2010 Installation Showcase
May 3, 2010 (Orlando, FL, USA) After three grueling days of intricate work at breakneck speed, Artcraft's team of CTEF installers at the premier Installation/Design
Showcase at Coverings 2010 finished the project to the excitement of onlookers.
Artcraft was one of only five
contractors in the nation, and the
only one in Arizona, selected to
participate in the new event.
Partnered with Fort Lauderdale
designer Alena
Capra and Tiles of Italy, Artcraft's superior
craftsmanship was evident as the
10x20ft vignette came to life.
This is the first time the live feat
was attempted, and the pressure was
intense as tens of thousands of
specifiers, builders, distributors,
manufacturers, fabricators,
installers, contractors and retailers
gathered for the industry
extravaganza to learn about the
latest trends and techniques.
Capra expressed her appreciation
and pleasure in Artcraft's skill and
work ethic. "I couldn't have been
partnered with a better team," she
said. "Thank you for your hard
work and professionalism - it has been
fantastic working with all of you."
Artcraft provided daily updates on the project with progress photos on their website at www.artcraftgmt.com.
Coverings 2010 was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, April 27-30, 2010.
